KILLS WATER-BORNE BACTERIA. Fast dissolving & fast acting. No chlorine lock.

Fi-Clor Superfast granular hypochlorite can be used as a regular pool sanitiser – it is especially recommended for pools that are open all year round. Superfast contains 10% more available chlorine than standard calcium hypochlorite and its fine particle size enables you to dose it directly into the pool rather than pre-dissolve. It dissolves rapidly to form active free chlorine to kill bacteria and help control algae. Superfast granules contain calcium which helps balance soft water, and it is stabiliser-free so avoiding the problem of 'chlorine lock'.

Fi-Clor Granules

Used at the recommended levels, Fi-CLOR Granules rapidly produce free active chlorine to kill bacteria and other harmful organisms so that you have the peace of mind of knowing your family’s health is being protected. They contain a built-in stabiliser making them particularly effective in outdoor pools where chlorine loss to sunlight can be a problem.

Instructions

> The product can be dosed directly into the pool without pre-dissolving. It should always be used when bathing has ceased. For outdoor use, avoid facing the wind when dosing.

> Calculate the volume of water in your pool (if in doubt, consult the Fi-Clor Swimming Pool Handbook).

> For cold water (below 20ºC) or non-circulating water, pre-dissolve in a plastic bucket uncontaminated by other chemicals (or other types of chlorine) and distribute uniformly round the pool

Clarifier Tablets 1kg

CLARIFIES POOL WATER. Suitable for all types of sand filtration. Compatible with all pool santisers.

There can be a number of small particles present in suspension in pool water that are too fine to be retained by the sand filter alone. These can make pool water hazy. Use of Fi-Clor Clarifier Tablets will coagulate the particles into a size which can be retained by the filter. Using these Clarifier tablets will also improve the efficiency of your filter.

CAUTION: Do not use this product with diatomite
or cartridge filtration systems.

Instructions:

> Use in cases of high turbidity, after shock dosing
or after a backwash, and for weekly maintenance

2 *7kg FI-CLOR DRY ACID 2 *7kg FI-CLOR DRY ACID Ref: 27001049
CORRECTS HIGH pH AND HIGH ALKALINITY.

According to the method of dosing, Fi-Clor pH & Alkalinity Reducer (Dry Acid) will lower either the pH or the total alkalinity in swimming pool water. High pH can result in cloudy water and contribute to scale formation. More importantly, it will reduce the effectiveness of chlorinebased sanitisers as they produce less free active chlorine. High alkalinity will make it difficult to adjust the pH as any correcting chemicals will be taken up by the alkalinity and are unable to alter the pH.

4 * 5Kg FI-CLOR pH INC 4 * 5Kg FI-CLOR pH INC Ref: 27001051
Fi-Clor pH Increaser (Soda Ash) is for raising the pH level in swimming pool water.

pH is a measure of how acid or how alkaline the water is. Low pH can lead to skin irritation and corrosion of equipment.

Price: £46.00 (Including VAT at 15%)

 4 * 5KG FI-CLOR ALKALINITY INCREASER 4 * 5KG FI-CLOR ALKALINITY INCREASER Ref: 27001052
CORRECTS LOW TOTAL ALKALINITY.

Fi-Clor Alkalinity Increaser (Bicarbonate) is for raising the total alkalinity level in swimming pool water. Alkalinity is a measure of the amount of alkali (or in chemical terms, bicarbonates and carbonates) in the water. If the alkalinity is too low, any chemicals added to the pool will directly affect the pH, causing rapid fluctuations in pH readings. Alkalinity at the correct level will help protect, or 'buffer' the pH.

Price: £48.30 (Including VAT at 15%)

4 * 4KG FI-CLOR HARDNESS INCREASER 4 * 4KG FI-CLOR HARDNESS INCREASER Ref: 27001053
Fi-Clor Hardness Increaser is for raising the calcium hardness level in swimming pool water. Calcium hardness is the amount of dissolved calcium and magnesium in pool water. If there is insufficient dissolved calcium, the water will try and take it from the grouting and concrete in the pool. High levels are not a major cause for concern provided the pH and alkalinity are within recommended parameters, but the reading should be kept below 1000mg/l (ppm) if possible.

Price: £44.85 (Including VAT at 15%)

HOW TO HANDLE AND STORE SWIMMING POOL CHEMICALSHOW TO HANDLE AND STORE SWIMMING POOL CHEMICALS Ref: FI-CLOR-2
Water is an ideal medium for breeding viruses, bacteria, algae and other potentially harmful organisms, and without chemicals your pool would not be safe to bathe in nor pleasant to look at. Fortunately, very low concentrations of chemicals can deal with these micro-organisms; low enough that they pose no significant threat to you when you are bathing in chemically treated water. Prior to dosing, the chemicals are of course much stronger. Although with Fi-Clor you will be using one of the safest forms of chlorine, it still makes good sense to exercise due care when handling and storing the products. This section of the site will explain the hazard warnings that you will see on the Fi-Clor containers and how to handle and store the products to minimise the risk of mishaps.

THE HAZARDS

The fact that hazard warning symbols appear on Fi-Clor packaging is not in itself a cause for concern, the chemicals are not dangerous if used properly. You will find hazard warnings on a wide variety of household goods including aerosols, cans of paint and proprietary domestic cleaners such as oven sprays. They are there for a purpose and we are required to put them on the label by law. They are to alert you to the fact that care is needed, to tell you what the dangers are and what to do to avoid them. Click the symbols below to identify the hazard warning symbols on Fi-Clor containers and understand the precautions you should take.

STORAGE

> Store all chemicals in a cool, dry, well ventilated place. Avoid any areas where there could be leaks from pipelines or leaky roofs

> The area where you store your chemicals should not be anywhere near a boiler

> Keep all chemicals out of the reach of children and animals

> Pool chemicals should be kept away from any products that could cause a reaction, especially petrol, oil, solvents and organic materials, paint, ammonia, fertilizer and nitrogen compounds, strong acids and alkalis

> Avoid storing different types of chlorine next to each other.
• In the case of products on the Fi-Clor range, this means:
• Do not store Fi-Clor or Premium 5 Granules or Tablets next to Fi-Shock or hth

> Do not store any chlorine next to Fi-Chem Dry Acid (or any other brand of Dry Acid)

> If you store different types of chlorine, or chlorine and Dry Acid, in the same area, separate them by placing inert chemicals between them. Examples of inert chemicals on the Fi-Clor range are:

• Fi-Clor Chlorine Stabiliser
• Fi-Clor Alkalinity Increaser (Bicarbonate)
• Fi-Clor Fi-GARD pH Neutraliser
• Fi-Clor pH Increaser (Soda Ash)
• Fi-Clor Hardness Increaser

> Do not keep liquids in a position where they could leak or spill onto solid or granular products

> Re-seal each container securely after use

> Have safety wear to hand in the storage area. This should include protective clothing, eye protection, industrial gloves (e.g. made from neoprene) and a dust mask at minimum. Remove and wash contaminated clothing promptly

HANDLING

> Never mix two different types of chlorine in the dry state or in concentrated solutions. The only safe way to use two different types of chlorine is to dose them into the pool separately, and in the concentrations normally recommended for use

> Always add chemicals to water, not water to chemicals

> In the event of spillage, dispose of the chemical by sweeping up and dosing directly into the pool, but make sure bathers are not present in the pool. Do not repackage spilled material in the original container. If the spillage is contaminated, transfer it to waste ground, spread thinly and cover with a thin layer of earth. A smell of chlorine will be noted until the material has degraded. Keep people, vehicles, and animals away from the disposal

> Do not use the contents of unlabelled containers, and do not transfer products from one container to another

> If pre-dissolving chemicals prior to dosing in the pool, ensure the bucket or mixing vessel is free from contamination from other chemicals, and dissolve small quantities at a time

> Keep the package at arms length when opening it, especially when opening for the first time. Open the container carefully

> Use separate (clean) measuring beakers for each chemical

> Wash your hands immediately after handling any pool chemical

> Do not smoke when handling pool chemicals
